FAQ
When are 5-day markets held?
They open every five days, on dates with the same last digit. A '2·7 market' opens on the 2nd, 7th, 12th, 17th, 22nd and 27th of each month. A '5·10 market' opens on the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th and 30th. Most markets don't open on the 31st, so this site doesn't count it as a market day.
How do I find markets open today?
The 'Today' tab on the home screen lists markets open today. Tap '📍 Near me' to sort them by distance. You can also filter by region or by cycle, such as '2·7 market'.
Can I see if a market actually opened, and how big it was?
Visitors record whether it opened, how many stalls there were, how busy it was, and photos. Check 'Recent visits' at the top of a market page for the latest record and its date. Markets with no records are marked 'Needs a visit check'.
Where does the market day info come from? Is it accurate?
We check Korea's public data portal (National Traditional Market Standard Data) every day. When it differs from official local government notices, we fix it and keep the source. Closures, moves and holiday changes may be updated late, so please check again before you go.
How do I report a wrong or closed market?
On the market page, tap 'Different market days? Report a correction' and leave the right info and a source. We'll check and fix it.
Where can I park near the market?
The 'Getting there · Parking' section on the market page shows public parking lots within 700 m, with free or paid, the basic fee and distance. Tap one to get directions straight there.
Are market prices cheaper than supermarkets?
When visitors record traditional market and supermarket prices on the same day, a comparison table appears on the market page. Prices are converted per item or per 100 g, and the cheapest place is marked. These aren't live prices; they're what people saw that day.
Can I install it as an app?
Yes. Tap '📲 Install app' on the home screen, or 'Add to Home screen' in the Chrome menu, and it installs on your phone like an app. On iPhone, tap the Share button → 'Add to Home Screen'.
